FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a tufted rug?
Rug tufting is the technique of hand-making rugs by threading loops of yarn in a design onto supportive fabric using a "tufting gun".
The fabric back of the rug is placed on a frame, the design is applied to the fabric with a projector to perfect the image, and then the yarn is looped onto the fabric with a tufting gun to flesh out the design. A secondary backing fabric is then glued to make up the back of the rug. The final step is carving or shaving the rug to make it look perfect!
